It has been 15 years since my last wrestling match. I retired in 1999 after traveling to other countries for mostly independent promotions throughout the 90's.
Most people do not know I was trained by a legend and Hall of Fame Inductee Killer Kowalski. I started working for the WWF in June of 1980 and only a short 2 months after leaving Kowalski's school. My last match with the WWF was in 1987, I have also worked with others like the NWA Crockett Promotions, Dino Bravo's IWF in Montreal, the NWF as the tagteam champions the Masked Executioners, Killer Kowalski's Bedlam from Boston.
I have wrestled the biggest names in the business like Andre the Giant, Dusty Rhodes, Mil Mascaras, The Valiant Brothers, former world heavy weight champions Pedro Morales, Bob Backlund, and of course Hulk Hogan. But there was one name I respected as the greatest world champion ever, but never had a chance to work with was the Living Legend Bruno Sammartino. However I was interviewed by Bruno in the IWF television tapings in Allentown Pennsylvania.
It has been written as one of the biggest upsets in Pro Wrestling history my match with David Sammartino in my hometown of Philadelphia in November of 1985. For that I was placed in the history books of the last 50 years with the biggest names in wrestling, along with other upsets over Iron Mike Sharpe in Pittsburgh's Civic Arena, Rene Goulet in Toronto's Maple Leaf Garden, and which I consider my biggest upset win over Chief Jay Strongbow on Long Island New York.
I hope you will enjoy all the news stories, fan comments, pictures, programs, posters, radio interviews, along with lots of videos old and current.
Thanks Ron
