WWWF CLASSICS

Seeing my first wrestling match live at 8 years old, It wasn't until high school when my good friend Neil Cohen and myself took public transportation down to 46th and Market Sts, in Phila. to the Phila. Areana to watch the tv tapings every 3 weeks and go to the big house show there also. This first classic match is 1975, these are wrestlers I have wrestled, met or traveled with. You will see the enthusiasm of the fans as they stand and cheer for there favorites. The sound of the bell, and the best in ring announcer Buddy Wagner, that echoed throughout that building, I have never been in an arena in my travels that could ever match that feeling that came from within the Phila Arena. Where it all started for me and yes all pro wrestlers are still fans. i have added some pictures below from my private scrapbook, that I took as a fan when I was in my high school years. You will not see this type of crowd reaction any more. This could be the only match the Grand Wizard gets attacked in his entire career. His real name is Ernie Roth who gave me a lot of encouragement in my early days.
