I was happy to be among the top 50 ratings as a rookie in 1980 as this was shown on the TV wrestling shows

In this year I was listed as Ron Shaw and the Masked Executioner

One of my very first few matches in August 1980 teaming up with Hall of Famer Baron Mikel Scicluna

A GOOD HARD MATCH WITH SALVATORE BELLOMO

International Wrestling Montreal was aired on WWC Puerto Rico TV to promote his entry in the WWC Universal Heavyweight Title Tournament during the Anniversary 1986 weekend. Here Martel battles WWF Ron Shaw in a pretty competitive match joined in progress. Again, the commentary is in Spanish with Hugo Savinovich providing the PBP. I was also wrestling for the WWF at this time, which was a very busy year

In the early 80's on a tour of Asia a riot broke out in a match that I was involved in where fans were running into the ring, we were able to escape fighting our way back to the dressing room.
This match had all the makings of a riot, however in the mid to late 80's wrestling got labeled as entertainment. This match did get an awful lot of heat (anger from the fans) where they threw trash at me and was threatened by a fan to get stabbed on the way back to the dressing room

It was an honor sitting in the same chair as such great boxing legends as Jake Lamotta, Frasier ,Larry Holmes, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Ali. We were invited on to promote the Galaxy Wrestling Federation which covered PA. VA, and OH areas, my manager is RJ Colton former member of the Elvis Presley band. Channel 9 requested that all wrestling guests stayed composed and respectful on the show.

Opening up the show is the Late Lord Alfred Hayes and the Late Gorilla (Gino) Monsoon , whose was one of the great guys, who gave me a lot of help along the way. This is a good hard match with the late SD Jones, where you can hear the smacking of the flesh in this sold out Madison Square Gardens.
